Føroyar
Elmar Bambach

The Faroe Islands are located in the Northern Atlantic, midway between Norway, Iceland and Scotland. On 18 islands there live approximately 48.000 people and twice as many sheep. The name of the islands indicates this fact: Føroyar literally means sheep islands. Around 5.000 people play soccer. They kick wherever there is space for it, and every plain in the rough landscape is being used for a soccer field.
